Mermaid Beach

Mermaid Beach is just outside of what is known in Australia as the 'Main Drag' of the Gold Coast but is still close to the experience that is Surfers Paradise - the vibrant mall where magicians, buskers and bands entertain restaurant goers, shoppers and strollers, the arcades, rides and amusement venues for the young and young at heart, the beach side eateries and the night club life.

Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast, is just a stone's throw to Conrad Jupiters and to the unique shopping utopia that is Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, a mecca of fashion brand names, gifts and home wares with over 300 speciality stores, department stores, restaurants, an entertainment centre and major cinema complex.

Cruises and boat hire are close by as well as family entertainment, putt-putt-golf, and all major theme parks and 'worlds' are within easy travelling distance.

Gold Coast beach resorts are generally of a high standard and Mermaid Beach accommodation won't disappoint. Apartments, from one to three bedroom, holiday rental properties, motels and resorts are tailored from budget to luxury. A range of accommodation is located right on the beach, with many apartments no more than a walk to the beach.

Mermaid Beach, while being one of the quieter family oriented Gold Coast surf beaches, is also versatile, popular as a paradise for boogie boarders, and known among the surfing community for producing strong beach breaks at times.

The beach is patrolled by the local Surf Lifesaving Club all year round as well as by helicopter.
