Main Beach

At the northern end of 57 kilometres of outstanding surfing beaches and golden 'squeaky' sand which kids and adults will love - lies Main Beach, Gold Coast.

World famous icon, Surfers Paradise, is only a short walk from Main Beach, or two minutes by car, providing the contrast in entertainment and pace enjoyed by beachgoers all year round. Dreamworld, Movie World, Seaworld and Wet'n'Wild are all within easy travelling distance.

Main Beach accommodation caters for every need and preference from the Main Beach caravan park, providing camping, mobile home and caravan facilities, many with ensuites, to Main Beach apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms, to luxury Gold Coast beach resorts.

Due to the location of Main Beach, most accommodation has stunning views of the beach, north across The Spit or south to Surfers Paradise.

Main Beach surfing area, as are all Gold Coast surf beaches, is patrolled all year round by helicopters and boats and on shore, by another of Australia's most famous icons, our Surf Lifesavers. Beachgoers must always obey the well-known red and yellow flags and signs to assist in ensuring their own safety and that of other beachgoers.

The Gold Coast, Australia, provides keen walkers, and even those who are only inspired at the beach, some outstanding opportunities to explore. The walk down Main Beach in the first light of morning, or in the peace of evening, as the lights are beginning to come on down the length of the Gold Coast, is an experience to remember.
